After being a Flyer fan since the Lindros days I'm finally going to see them play live on back to back nights in January against the Kings and Ducks.

Nah Ottawa doesn't need to rebuild, they just need a real #1 goalie and a real second line center. Fischer isn't cutting it as the 2nd line center. With Spezza, Heatley, Alfredson, Phillips, and the overall depth that they have, if they can get those two things and good coaching they will be contenders again.


And yea some are saying it's going to be a make or break year for this group in San Jose.

san jose is tough, i think they put too much pressure on themselves in the playoffs.

it's really tough to make a serious run two years in a row with the way the nhl works now, so i think san jose will probably be the team to beat in the west

the hawks look good though, 6 points since friday, and a shitload of goals

The problem is that Thornton hasn't been able to translate his game to the playoffs. Until he does that this team goes nowhere.
