met some friends for coffee soaked up some much needed sun drove the long way to work now im at work.. friend is going to bring me dinner and hang out later then prob going to go over to another friends place after work watch a movie or tivo.. bullshit for a few hours then go home.. read some and then fall asleep nice mellow sunday |

my day has been very up and down.
pros for today: -was told by my job they might hire me full time (as opposed to seasonal) -made date plans for next week -tonights date plans are still good cons for today: -was told by my job that i would have to work through the rest of february, meaning... -my vacation plans are sunk, meaning... -i just lost 200,000 frequent flier miles and theres nothing i can do about it. thats five years worth of saved miles completely wasted. if anybody has any tips for me about getting these miles back, i'd greatly appreciate it. |

booked a plane ticket to Boracay (which i have to cancel due to my boss telling me i have to work throughout the rest of february). from everything i know about frequent flier miles, once you spend them, you lose them forever, no refunds. if there are any exceptions or some kind of strategy to fix this, please tell me. |

thats what i'm thinking. someone at work told me i could go to an airport lounge (i actually dont really know what that is, exactly. i dont have a whole lot of experience with shit like this) and an agent would give me a credit or voucher. only problem is, this is the first time ive used frequent flier miles (which is why I have so many), so i dont even know if i get a physical ticket or not. all i have is the itinerary at this point. either way, id much rather have the miles than the voucher, because vouchers expire, and i have no idea if i'd be able to get out there this year. |

understandable.. but i've transfered vouchers before from one vacation to another.. the miles im pretty sure are wasted.. but the voucher would actuall ybe better than the miles because it doesnt have a blackout period usually.. <shrug> call the customer services for the airline and tell them whats happened.. |

it would be a real shame if i cant get the miles back, but im starting to think theres just no way. ive been in panic mode for the last couple hours because of it. i'll try calling them tomorrow. thanks brian |

work was easy mode today. was helping train people to do my job which is easy enough. so didn't even have to do work just help if there were issues.
i did a puzzle on one of the trainee's desks most of my downtime. thought this bitch was hella crazy mormon but got to know her a bit helping her do the puzzle and she's only a slightly crazy mormon who i thought was pretty cool |

small meetings to straighten out requirements can be helpful.
when they get too big and people on on tangents then often times you feel like you've just wasted an hour. then they have to book a follow up which could repeat the same issue. we had one meeting 4 times because of that very thing. |
