I can not recall seeing any movie with Vampires in it that was worth a damn, other than, perhaps, Van Helsing.

Got any good, gory, violent and twisted vampire movies, where a vampire is not a romantic twentysomething, 200 year-old heart throb falling in love with an innocent teenage girl?

when it comes to vampires, they're also pretty well along the lines of what i miss, but still...it lacks the gothic victorian quality that brought the idea to life.

If you really want to watch a good vampire movie you should watch the 1979 remake of Nosferatu.

But I have to warn you the characterization of the eponymous anti-hero is that of loneliness, isolation, sadness, etc. and not the "demonic hellspawn fucking evil" kind of moustache-twirling cheesiness you seem to be looking for.

i agree that those are also major traits of the original vampire. but at the same time, i'm not looking for the cheese...i'm looking for the wretchedness. i'm looking for that bitter distaste for humanity that used to be more popular in vampires. I believe the loneliness and misunderstanding should also be present, but that the same time, the wickedness should be there as well.

In any case, I just NEED something that isn't in any way related to innocent 300 year old scene boys. God it kills me to see all these vampires becoming icons for small scene girls the world round.
