chris paul got robbed.

most entertaining player all game long, not to mention the most efficient.

i thought it was pretty cool shaq and kobe both got their 3rd. besieds, kobe was pretty damn efficient himself, so i don't think cp was "robbed".
kobe: 27/4/4 on 12/23 shooting with 1 TO and 4 steals. +/- Rating = +24
paul: 14/14/3 on 7/14 shooting with 1 TO and 3 steals. +/- Rating = +21
failing to see the robbery. it was close. and i kind of disagree with the 'most entertaining' comment to. but whatever, difference of opinion there.
i still hate shaq, but it was cool to see jackson running some of the old sets the lakers used to run back in the 3-peat era.

Shaq knows how to make an all-star game entertaining. That give and go between Dwight Howard's legs was classic.

you're right, it's wrong not to acknowledge shaq's entertainer skills. he even made the intros worth watching. i just thought CP3 brought the most awe-inspiring moves.

and i kind of feel like the whole co-mvp thing kind of had a "cute" factor to it. partly a lifetime achievement thing for shaq, and partly for the whole kobe-shaq-phil "reunion." just thought if there was going to be co-mvps, the two that deserved it were paul and kobe. but who cares? all-star mvps are pretty trivial anyway.

oh and paul had 7 boards. almost a triple double. 14/1 assist to turnover is pretty crazy especially in a mostly free-spirited game like this.

You have to remember that the West pretty much turned the game around when Shaq came into the game and he did a lot for only playing 11 minutes.

yeah it helped he was being guarded by rashard lewis lol. it was kind of inevitable for the east to get pounded down low once garnett and howard checked out. not sure why so many people were expecting the east to be able to handle the west with those matchups.

but fine, it should have been shaq and chris paul as mvps then.

agree.
plus, he's been rebounding like dennis rodman.
19, 18, 17 rebounds in the last 3 games and 17 so far tonight with a quarter of basketball still left. could have 20 by the end.
LA should just keep signing him to one year contracts to keep him this 'focused'.

edit.
yep, he got 20.

i'm not too aware of the hornets' financial situation, but was that trade based on expiring contracts and money? because if not, that's a stupid move for the hornets. great move for thunder. they're quietly building a pretty nice team.

yeah, that was all about the money. the salary cap is dropping this summer and chandler's contract is putting them over the luxury tax.

that, and now we know there is obviously something wrong with him that could affect his health long term.

what did you guys think about Miami - shawn marion/marcus banks/(somesort of pick) to Toronto for Jermaine O'Neal/Jamario Moon ?? hopefully can help both. + Toronto got some nice movement right before the deadline w/ gettin rid of will soloman and pickin up some potential in O'Bryant from Boston...

Deron Williams is nasty. When Utah gets Boozer back they could do some damage in the west.

This will be a good test for Boston seeing how they play without KG for the remaining 3 games of the road trip. Good chance for Perkins and Big Baby to step up their games.

true. i don't see them doing much without homecourt in the first round though. they are a pretty bad road team.

i don't think i've seen these two teams play each other before, but i had a feeling the cavs were going to get their asses handed to them. and after a quarter and a half i'm almost convinced that houston would take a 7 game series from cleveland, with or without tmac. the rockets will never get that far though.

yup. i think that stat finally changes this year though (i said that last year, maybe the year before too).

i think any team that can force lebron to be a jumpshooter without double teaming has a good chance to beat the cavs.

celtics can't do this, which is why i think cleveland is still going to the finals.

if the series was 4 home games for houston, 3 for cleveland, i'd agree with you, but there's no way houston could take the cavs with cleveland having homecourt.

and shit, big ben broke his fibula, that ain't good at all

there's a popular phrase, saying, whatever you wanna call it.

OIC

only in cleveland.

it's not like we lost 20ppg or anything, but he's a big part of what they do. defense, offensive rebounding, toughness.

broken fibulas can vary, he could miss a month and a half max, he could be done until next season. it really depends, hopefully x rays give us a good news. but our frontcourt really took a hit.

we almost have to hope okc buys out joe smith and he comes back. otherwise i dunno

the celtics' record without garnett over the past two years seemed kind of ridiculous to me. i'm not sure who they played in those games, but being 14-2 with that frontcourt just didn't seem right.

and if lebron comes up with even just a minor injury in this game. wow. this stretch is their chance to take a stronghold on homecourt in the east.

they have pretyy good depth in their frontcourt. big baby and leon powe aren't all stars, but they are more than serviceable when you have pierce and allen doing what they do.

sheed was pissed.

it's just hard for me to imagine a team starting big baby and kendrick perkins going 14-2 in any stretch. it's definitely a testament to the work of the other three guys that's for sure.
