Mental midgets like yourself are why I stopped coming to this board. Having a discussion always turns into name calling and telling people they don't know shit.

You know what makes arguments great? Backing them up with facts. The Celtics absolutely fucking owned the entire NBA last season, and, specifically the Lakers last year in the Finals.

And I know plenty about basketball, I haven't propbably forgotten more than you'll ever know. Everyone knows the Lakers don't have real fans anyway, just the beautiful people of Hollywood who like being seen. Being an LA sports fan I could see how you could hate Boston, since the Red Sox own the Angels and now the Celtics own the Lakers again.

all i know is, staples center was filled up every night when the lakers were at their worst a few years ago.
boston home games were basically empty for the last 10 years.
yea, some real fans you got there. all bandwagon. i even remember boston 'fans' chanting mvp for kobe in their own gym a few years ago.
and what have you backed up with fact? you haven't even made any real points besides 'omgz we won last year and we beat the rockets this year, and we got leon powe leading us into 2010 lolz'. yea, we all know the celtics beat the lakers last year. but this is this year. and the lakers are the favorites to win it all this year. there's another fact for you.

and yes, if you think leon powe, perkins and rajon rondo are a nucleus capable of carrying a team anywhere but the lottery, you definitely don't know shit about basketball.
you should follow your instinct and stop coming to the board. we've have enough idiots.

I never said Perkins, Powe and Rondo were gonna "carry the team" as you point out, I said they formed a good young nucleus of young players to compliment their trio of Hall of Famers, all 3 who are still performing at a peak level this year and most likely next.

Rondo is only getting better offensively and is a top notch defender of the point already. Perkins is becoming a monster defensively (7 more blocks tonight) which is all they need. They need maybe 7-8 points from him a game offensively.

And you are so quick to make fun of Leon Powe, do you not remember his 21 points in 15 minutes of play in Game 2 vs. the Lakers last year? Oh yeah I forgot you dissappeared off the board...

Here's a good argument for Allen http://dimemag.com/2007/10/the-hof-watch-ray-allen/

Pierce is currently 20th all-time in point per game at 23.1 and still has 4 or 5 good years left.

Wasn't "dick"? He averaged over 25 points a game five different seasons before he ever had KG and Allen as teammates. I'd say that's pretty good dick.

He was the best player in the NBA Playoffs last year easily.

And he outplayed the great Lebron in the semifinals. Not saying he's the best player in the NBA, but he was the best player in the NBA playoffs last season, which I'll take any day.

rondo is average at best. and anyone can go off on any night, including nobodies like leon powe.

and ray allen and paul pierce are not hall of fame caliber players. they were losers their entire careers, one championship doesn't put them in the hall of fame. kg? maybe.
and how'd i disappear off the board when the board crashed for like a month right on the night of the last finals game? you're a jackass.

paul pierce was a first round exit almost every year, that is, if he even made the playoffs.

you can talk stats all you want, but he didn't do shit. you can talk points per game, but it's easy to drop 25 a year when your team blows and you and chuck up all the shots every night.

lebron was horrible leading up to the last few games of that series, so i guess you can say pierce somewhat outplayed him, even though everyone in the world knows lebron is 20 times the player pierce could ever be, if you stuck kg and ray allen alongside lebron, they wouldn't have lost a game in the playoffs.

the celtics only won because they had homecourt, and pierce got help from kevin garnett.

Sure, whatever OK. I don't really care if they only won because they had home court - that's why you win 66 games during the regular season - to earn home court. How unfair!

You two can debate all you want but I'm just gonna watch the Celtics dominate another NBA season and win back-to-back titles and their NBA best 18th overall. I would expect bitterness though from fans of 2 of the teams the Celtics beat in the playoffs last year.

Poor little Lebron James is just gonna have to wait at least 2 or 3 more years before he sniffs a shot at the championship as long as the Celtics Big 3 is intact. And especially now that AI is in Detroit, not to mention DRose in Chicago.

Boo hoo, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were both losers their entire careers until they joined the Celtics. Damn, I'm gonna throw away all my Celtics stuff because of that. Paul Pierce is the second leading scorer in Celtics history behind Bird, what a loser that guy was until last year!

what did he do in the playoffs before last year?

that's right. jack shit.

and i wouldn't assume a championship just yet.

if the cavs run out and win the east in terms of the regular season, you can kiss your chance goodnight, because we all know the celtics aren't going into cleveland and winning a game.

Took them to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2002 where they lost in 6 games to New Jersey, including what was at the time the greatest comeback in NBA history when Pierce led them back from 25 points down in the 4th quarter to win game 5.

yet pierce was scoring 25 a game on a lottery team and that means something?

Actually his second best scoring year was 01-02 when he averaged 26.1 per game on a 49-win team that made the conference finals. No lottery that year.

Funny, 49 wins is only 1 less that any Lebron team has ever won in any season. Interesting.

I think Lebron is incredibly overrated. The guy is a freak of nature athlete and can run and jump with the best of them, but he's a horrid outside shooter and free throw shooter but a great dunker. Let's take a look at his shooting numbers vs. Paul's:

Career FG% - Lebron (.467) Paul (.441)
Career 3-pt % - Lebron (.322) Paul (.363)
Career FT% - Lebron (.729) Paul (.795)

Lebron averages 21.1 shots per game over his career; Paul averages 17.1.

Wow, if Pierce hoisted up a few more shots more game maybe his career scoring average would be up near Lebron's. Even Kobe's only at 19 shots per game over his career and everyone says he just shoots all the time.

a lot of people are jealous of boston teams/fans, fact. im not saying that people are jealous here on the boards- its just known, seen, and heard in a lot of places.

anyway, it wont always be like this for boston and then some other city will have a run where 75% of their teams are winning championships.

I wasn't necessarily talking about this season. Rose will be a star in the NBA for sure.

I agree with what you said about Orlando and Atlanta and I would add Toronto to that list. I think the Eastern Conference has finally caught up to the Western Conference.

Even the Bruins are in first place. I wonder if any city has a team win a championship in all 4 major sports in the same decade....?

Nah that can't be right. Pittsburgh doesn't have an NBA franchise. I know the Pirates and Steelers both won in 1980 though.
