That's only me saying that and that's my Boston homer hyperbole speak anyway... Pierce is a top 10 player though. |

not really.. he hit a guy in the face, on purpose. kg is the one who's ridiculous. he's such a good player, but i wish he'd drop the whole 'mr.tough intense guy' shtick. you can be instense without acting like a clown. |

same thing i thought when i heard him proclaim himself as the best in the world. that was really funny. he is a damn good player. clutch too. just not the best. |

i dont 'hate' him, but he's definitely turned up the douche a few notches since going there. whatever though, i won't lie; i'd love to have him play for my team. and no, lebron's not the 'best player in the nba'. he will be one day, just not now. he has too much to learn. most talented? maybe.. my top 5 in the league: kobe lebron duncan kg chris paul (yes. guy's crazy good, even though i hate his attitude.) #5 isn't set in stone, but the way he's playing right now, i think he deserves that spot. |

oh and did anyone see the rockets game last night?
tmac, yao and artest all left the game with injuries. tmac even mentioned 'shutting it down' for a while. that team is cursed. |

alright im gonna say this and be done with it because i dont want to look like im bitching and moaning, im not. but what about shaq the other night? he gets a small fine? i mean no doubt they are targeting kg and he does have a big mouth but most players do. they need to get people from out front and the press back in if language is such a big issue for a family orientated image.

i haven't watched much b-ball this year but the lakers are looking solid.
if Bynum stays healthly i see 65+ wins |

you talking about the foul on stuckey? didn't shaq get ejected from the game? the only reason they didn't suspend him is cus you could make a case for him going after the ball. shaq's just huge, guards are going to bounce off him. KG made a swing for a player's face, after the play was over. any time you go after a player's face, you're going to get suspended. just like kobe, when he'd follow through and accidently catch someone with his flailing arm. he's gotten suspended for that twice, even though he clearly didn't do it on purpose. nba is sensitive to plays above the shoulders. |

Well he was the MVP on his own team in the NBA Finals last year... actually he was the MVP on his team though the entire postseason. Allen dissapeared until about midway through the Detroit series, Garnett was solid, but it was Pierce who made all the big plays. |

the celtics are based around defense, and they never had that defensive philosophy until KG showed up. he sets the tone on that end of the floor. if this team was just ray allen and pierce, there's no way they'd win a championship. and yea, in the finals KG was being guarded by gasol who's an underrated defender and held him to reasonable numbers. pierce was being guarded by vladimir radmanovich, who's a great shooter but was absolute shit on defense last year (but has really improved this year). either way, pierce's numbers in the finals were unimpressive to say the least. he did hit some big shots though. but i don't think anybody can argue that kg is the engine that makes them run. i'm talking about regular season mvp, which is what mongo was referring to. finals mvp, yes pierce deserved it. but again, his numbers werent impressive. |

The Celtics are actually better this year than last season. Rondo and Perkins have one more year of experience including the full postseason. Plus Tony Allen is emerging as a great 6th man. He wont hot the big 3s like Posey did, but he's a much better defender than Posey is and Celtic Pride is all about D. You gotta work hard to score even 90 on Boston!

james posey>>tony allen in every aspect of the game. and i fucking hate james posey. don't fool yourself. trevor ariza is better than tony allen too. and that's not to say that he's a bad player at all. i think you're just overrating him a bit.
